Nextt&Mason is seeking an Interim CEO for a member-governed organization that develops rural areas and the green industries. The organization conducts research, advisory services, education, property management and field trials. The business employs approximately 70 people, excluding subsidiaries. Annual turnover is approximately SEK 120 million, and including subsidiaries the group turnover amounts to SEK 285 million.
The assignment involves driving a development and change agenda in an organization with a long tradition and history, while at the same time ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of knowledge and balances societal value creation with a strong commercial focus in order to improve profitability.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Challenges
• Overall responsibility for day-to-day operations.
• Responsibility for leading, developing and following up on the organization’s activities.
• Full financial responsibility, including budget, forecasts and capital management.
• Implementation of the strategic plan developed together with the Board, extending through 2030.
• The role requires close collaboration with managers and employees, with a focus on leadership as well as sales, business development and communication.
Qualifications
• Experience working as a CEO in a smaller (up to SEK 300 million turnover) knowledge-driven business.
• Proven experience in initiating and leading successful change initiatives.
• Experience from leading member-governed organizations is considered an advantage.
• Hands-on, driven and clear, with a high degree of empathy and diplomacy.
• Engaging leadership style and experience in conflict management.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Relevant academic degree.
The assignment is planned to start ASAP with a minimum duration of six months. The workplace is the organization’s head office in western Skåne.
