Nextt & Mason is looking for an Interim Technical Manager for a mechanical engineering company with its own products and systems. The company offers complete solutions to customers worldwide. The company, which is based in north-eastern Skåne, also has several international subsidiaries.
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for a technology and development department with direct reports including process engineers, programmers, and mechanical design engineers. The interim manager reports to the CEO.
The interim manager will lead the daily operations while also carrying out the following strategic change initiatives:
• Evaluate and document the processes and resources within the organization
• Develop, together with company management, a strategic plan for how the organization should be structured to increase efficiency and profitability
• Lead the implementation of the new strategy
• Lead the implementation of a new CAD system
Responsibilities
• Ensure high-quality technical delivery across all processes
• Monitor technological developments within the industry
• Ensure continuous market-adapted development of existing technology platforms
• Provide support to the sales and aftermarket departments
• Personnel and environmental responsibility for employees within the department
• Budget and cost responsibility for the department
Qualifications
• Successful senior leader as Technical Manager or Head of Engineering within mechanical or process applications
• Experience from entrepreneurial companies and customer interaction
• Strong technical background with interest in complex technical solutions
• Experience leading customer projects within the process industry or similar sectors
• Results-oriented, strategic and hands-on personality
• Strong commercial focus and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Master of Science in Engineering (MSc) or equivalent
The assignment is planned to start in January 2024 and is expected to last 6-12 months.
The workplace is at the company’s headquarters in north-eastern Skåne.
