Interim Project Manager – Production Relocation and Outsourcing

Our client is a
highly specialized technology company that develops, produces, and sells
environmental technologies internationally.
The company delivers large-scale technical systems sold as project-based solutions, each tailored to the customer’s specific needs and backed by significant in-house know-how.
We are seeking an
experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background and proven experience in
production relocation and outsourcing. This interim position is of strategic importance and reports directly to the
COO.
The project is based in
Greater Copenhagen and includes regular travel to the company’s production facilities in
Jutland. The Danish production setup primarily involves
assembly of components from subcontractors into complete system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage the
relocation of production facilities from Jutland to Greater Copenhagen.
• Execute a
partial outsourcing of production, including identification and coordination with external manufacturing partners.
• Oversee the transfer of remaining production to existing facilities in Greater Copenhagen.
• Develop and present a
business case to the steering committee covering closure, outsourcing, and relocation of production.
• Ensure a smooth
ramp-up phase with outsourcing partners and the new production line in Copenhagen.
• Coordinate stakeholders and ensure project structure, communication, and progress throughout the process.
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience in
production relocation and
outsourcing projects.
• Strong
technical understanding and ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Solid
project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Background in
manufacturing or project-based production.
• Flexibility and willingness to
travel between sites during the project period.
