We are looking for an interim production manager for our client. A company in strong growth with approximately 50-60 employees, in an industry characterized by significant opportunities in the coming years.
The production area comprises approximately 25 employees, including 2 team leaders (TL). The organization is noticeably under pressure from workload, a full order book, and a high pace. The assignment is therefore heavily rooted in a present leadership style, prioritization of tasks, stabilization of daily operations, leadership and development of TLs, and stakeholder management across many stakeholders, as well as building a production setup to support growth in the coming years.
You will report to the company’s technical director.
Primary tasks / success criteria
- Relieve and stabilize daily operations: create overview, clear prioritization, and realistic plans.
- Strengthen and lead 2 TLs: sparring, clear frameworks, follow-up, and development of their leadership practice.
- Create followership in a pressured organization: ensure that changes and transformations are understood and translated into practice, even when the pace is high.
- Onboarding of new employees: ensure structure and pace in training so that new hires quickly become productive without increasing the burden on key personnel.
- Stakeholder management: align expectations, manage opinion leaders, and engage in strong collaboration with other leaders across the organization.
- Leadership close to the shop floor: daily visibility, quick follow-up, and handling of capacity challenges.
Profile of the right candidate
- Experienced production manager/production head who thrives in leading in an environment with high activity and externally driven high pace of change.
- A clear people manager, robust and people-savvy - quickly builds trust and gets things done.
- Accustomed to leading through team leaders and able to both support and set clear requirements.
- Strong in stakeholder management and expectation alignment across the organization.
