Our client belongs to the pioneers in its industry, with a hundred years of development from a local company to a nationwide business with operations in several locations, within the areas of contracting, project and system development, production and service.
The products are based on a self-developed, patented system with a lower climate footprint, consisting of customer-adapted modules in glulam. Production has recently been moved to newly acquired production facilities in south-eastern Småland.
The organization consists of around 60 employees, including both production staff and office employees. Production is currently carried out in two shifts, and the number of employees is expected to increase during 2024, both in production staff and office roles.
The manufacturing process with wood processing is new and still being adjusted, where quality issues are one of your key responsibilities. The new production organization requires specific analysis and you will initially work closely with Group Management regarding the overall organizational design.
The current ERP system will be replaced with the Monitor ERP system, where your input to the project manager will become an important part of the implementation.
We are looking for an Interim Production Manager for the production unit in southern Småland with immediate start.
Very strong experience within relevant areas - modular housing production, window manufacturing, construction sector etc. - is considered an advantage.
Experience of leadership responsibility in smaller production organizations, with a span between strategic and hands-on tasks, is considered crucial.
You have the overall responsibility for quality, delivery targets and personnel within the business area, to further develop long-term routines and strategies, and to ensure that efficient processes and tools are implemented.
The assignment begins with you as a consultant conducting a mapping of the operations at the production facility - from organization to effective processes. Based on this, the assignment will then continue as Interim Production Manager.
The production setup is still being fine-tuned following changed production methods and increased volumes. Your background as a result-oriented, driven, motivating and communicative leader with long senior experience will be decisive for achieving the delivery targets.
You report to the Group CEO.
The assignment is expected to last 6 months with the possibility of extension. If there is mutual interest, the interim manager may be considered for permanent employment after the interim period.
