The company is a market-leading player in the media and education industry and has undergone a comprehensive digital transformation in recent years.
The group employs over 300 people and operates across several strong business areas - including digital learning platforms and commercial publishing. The organization is matrix-structured, with headquarters in Copenhagen and a few subsidiaries across the Nordic region.
The interim leader will have managerial responsibility for a team of seven employees and will act as a sparring partner to the Group Finance Manager, the CFO & the Group Executive Management, as well as business unit leaders. The position reports to the Group Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead and structure a team of seven business partners, including employees based in Sweden (dotted-line) and Aarhus.
- Ensure strong overview, clear prioritization, and role definition in a busy work environment.
- Support and manage a relatively new team.
- Work closely with the Group Finance Manager and act as their “wing man/woman” regarding structure, prioritization, and ad hoc tasks (e.g., in connection with the integration of a recently acquired smaller company) and potentially the future setup of the Finance Business Partner department.
- Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner for one of the two major business areas, encompassing trade, distribution, and inventory management.
- Take overall responsibility for forecasting, monthly follow-up, and planning of the budget process (scheduled for autumn). A major 2026-2028 forecasting project is currently ongoing.
- Management reporting (in collaboration with the team and the Accounting Department - Reporting & Controlling).
- Support the integration of the acquired company, which was merged into the group in early 2025 - particularly assisting the former owner in transitioning their business management processes.
