Interim Group Chief Accountant for a leading international manufacturing company

Our client is a global market leader within its industry. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and distributes its products in more than 50 countries worldwide.

With multiple production sites in Denmark and Poland, as well as sales offices across several continents, the company has an annual turnover exceeding DKK 1.6 billion.

The Interim Group Chief Accountant will lead and develop a team of 15 employees. Experience from low-margin manufacturing companies and strong knowledge of standard cost calculations is essential for this role.

The position reports directly to the Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and organize the overall accounting function, ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting across subsidiaries and at group level.

• Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements and consolidated group accounts.

• Develop and maintain strong financial processes and procedures within accounting, AR, and AP.

• Oversee the preparation of statutory annual reports across all legal entities and the consolidated group.

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management and board reports.

• Responsible for group tax reporting and compliance with Danish and international authorities.

• Ensure a strong internal control environment and compliance with accounting, tax, and VAT regulations.

• Oversee credit control and debtor risk assessments, including credit approvals and insurance in line with internal policies.

• Support the financial analysis of group data and performance.

• Drive professional and organizational development within the accounting department.
