Interim Group CFO for PE-owned European Healthcare Group
Our client is a fast-growing European healthcare group owned by a private equity fund. The group has a Danish parent company and subsidiaries in three other Northern European countries. The group CFO is stepping down, and we are therefore seeking an experienced Interim Group CFO who can quickly bring stability, clarity and steady operations to the finance function.
The focus is on classic core finance: liquidity, cash flow, banking, governance, accounting and the year-end close. You will also drive the ongoing digitalisation and automation of finance forward. The systems in use are Business Central, Konsolidator, Power BI and Power Apps, as well as Lessor for Danish payroll.
The position reports to the Group CEO. The finance function has approx. 10 employees, 4 of whom report directly to the role. As a starting point, the role also includes IT Operations with 3 employees.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Lead and stabilise the group finance function with a focus on execution, structure and stable operations
Safeguard liquidity and governance compliance, and own the dialogue with the bank and the PE owner
Closely manage cash flow and working capital through the Q4 seasonal peak in collaboration with the business, including the timing of purchasing, invoicing and tight cost control
Drive the year-end close and group consolidation in the Danish parent company with subsidiaries in three countries
Deliver reporting to the owner and the board in the agreed format and on the agreed schedule
Secure the ongoing budget process and establish a rolling forecast model five quarters ahead
Support M&A activity together with the PE fund’s transaction partner, including quality-assuring models and securing funding and financial readiness before signing
Drive the digitalisation and automation of key finance processes in collaboration with a dedicated team member
Lead IT Operations with responsibility for operations, network, support and asset management
Profile:
You are an experienced CFO with a solid, classic financial toolkit: funding, treasury, governance, consolidation and accounting
You have experience from PE-owned companies and are comfortable in dialogue with both the PE fund and the bank
You have M&A experience, from financial due diligence and funding through to signing
You are digitally minded and understand automation and data-driven finance, enabling you to bring an engaged team along on the journey
