Interim Global Project and Transformation Manager to PE-owned International Digital Services Company
Our client is a PE-owned international digital services company that designs, builds and delivers digital solutions for ambitious companies, with AI at the heart of how it works. Several hundred strategists, product managers, designers and engineers work across studios in four European markets. The culture is informal, dynamic and hands-on: people are close to the work and decisions are made quickly.
The company is launching a new strategy that transforms how it sells, delivers and operates, with AI as a central lever. It is a business-critical change to the operating model, competencies and ways of working, and the owners, CEO and Senior Leadership Team are fully behind it. The implementation runs from Q4 2026 through Q4 2027. It has four business tracks, each with a global track owner and anchored locally in every market.
The Interim Leader will lead the transformation as a whole. They will personally own the supporting track for organisational readiness, governance, change management and communication. This is a people business, and the transformation will only succeed if the employees are brought on board. Leading cultural change and internal communication is therefore at the core of the role. The Interim Leader comes in early and can set direction and structure from the start. The role is hands-on, with no separate PMO organisation around it.
The Interim Leader reports to the CEO and the steering committee. They will work closely with the global track owners, the Managing Directors of each market and the local track anchors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the overall transformation, including the integrated plan, milestones and governance cadence, and keep the work moving across tracks and markets
Design and run a lean governance model and monthly operating rhythm, and facilitate the steering committee
Lead the communication plan across markets to build understanding, commitment and momentum among employees, leaders and the board
Work hands-on with each global track owner to define scope, workstreams, milestones and sequencing, taking dependencies and local capacity into account
Manage dependencies between tracks, and between global ambitions and local market plans. Spot friction, gaps and competing priorities early, and work out solutions with track owners and Managing Directors
Run the monthly reporting to the CEO, steering committee, board and owners, focused on substance and not on reporting for its own sake
Build and drive the change approach, including the adoption of AI in daily work, using the culture as a lever. Track adoption and sentiment, and equip managers to lead the change locally
Anchor decisions, ownership and ways of working in the organisation so they stay in place after the assignment ends
Raise conflicts on resources, budget and priorities with clear options and a recommendation, and escalate to the CEO and steering committee when they need to decide
Profile:
Senior profile with +15 years of experience and a proven record of setting up and running international transformation or strategy implementation projects across several countries, from an early stage into steady execution
Combines overview with hands-on execution: builds the plan, runs the meetings and writes the steering material. Creates structure quickly and keeps process and overhead to a minimum
Strong track record of leading cultural transformation in people-driven businesses. Has changed how people work, with evidence of adoption after launch, and knows how to win employees over and turn resistance into commitment
Strong technical understanding and curiosity. Comfortable in an environment of engineers and software delivery; AI experience is a clear advantage
Experience from professional services, a digital agency, consultancy or a product organisation, and from PE-owned companies with structured owner reporting. Pure strategy consulting without operational execution is less relevant
Natural collaborator with executive presence, persistent in follow-up and direct about what is off track. Fluent English; Danish is an advantage
