Interim Financial Project Lead for International Service Group
Our client is an international, American-owned service group with its Danish headquarters in Greater Copenhagen. The company is going through a period of increased centralization and tighter requirements from its American owners, while several major development projects are running in parallel, including BI initiatives and the modernization of internal digital processes.
The background for this assignment is that the finance function currently manages four parallel workstreams – day-to-day operations, development projects, organizational change, and the group's centralization requirements. This places significant demands on capacity, and the Finance Manager needs an experienced resource who can quickly take independent ownership of concrete tasks without extensive onboarding.
The primary task is to bring order to the company's car ordering process, which is significantly delayed. This involves an extensive approval process with the group, and both the process and its structure need to be updated. In addition, the company's internal control environment (SOX/GFC) needs to be finalized and localized for the Danish business.
The position reports to the Finance Manager. Additional ad hoc tasks may arise on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Establish process, structure, and data foundation for the company's car ordering process, including managing the internal approval workflow
Finalize the leasing package in collaboration with the external leasing partner and ensure correct internal case handling
Finalize and localize the company's SOX and internal control environment (GFC) for the Danish context
Re-establish controls that were discontinued in connection with a previous system change
Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day financial management
Ensure progress and quality in task execution with minimal onboarding and guidance
Handle ad hoc tasks that arise on an ongoing basis as the organization changes
Profile:
Experienced financial controller or project manager with solid accounting experience and a background in similar tasks
Ability to work independently after a brief briefing and take ownership from day one
Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAP
Structured and process-oriented approach with the ability to create overview in a complex organization
