Interim Financial Planner & Analyst for an International Medical Device Company

Our client has been developing, manufacturing, and selling innovative medical products to healthcare professionals worldwide for more than 70 years. The company operates in over 100 countries, has experienced significant growth in recent years, and continues to expand with the backing of strong investors.

With solid profitability and high product margins, the company runs its own production facility and employs around 350 people globally.

They are now seeking an experienced Interim Financial Planner & Analyst to take ownership of and drive the 2024 budget process. The role is part of a Group Finance team of six and reports directly to the Director of Group Finance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the full budget process, ensuring that stakeholders and decision-makers are properly informed and engaged

• Lead the consolidation and preparation of the company-wide budget in close collaboration with controllers and business partners

• Own the top-line and fixed cost budgets, supported by the finance department

• Prepare management decision material and board presentations

• Collect and synthesize input from across the organization to provide financial clarity and insight

• Ensure alignment with the company’s strategic 3-year plan, including its completion

• Communicate KPI targets clearly to relevant stakeholders

• Provide input on best practices for improving the budgeting process

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Act as Finance Business Partner to the VP of Quality Management and VP of Commercial

• Support the finance department during month-end closing

• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and support to the business

Systems Used:

• SAP

• Konsolidator

• Excel (the budgeting process is executed in Excel)
