Our client, a supplier to the food industry, is going through a transitional period and requires an experienced interim Finance Manager to ensure high-quality and continuous operation of the finance function. The role has a particular focus on managing the interface between Danish and international ownership, and on ensuring professional, timely and transparent financial management and reporting.Part of the assignment involves effective coordination and management of external vendors, as virtually all finance tasks are outsourced. The interim Finance Manager must therefore establish oversight, deliver reporting of the right quality, and act as the link between vendors, management and owners.The Interim Finance Manager reports to the company's Managing Director.Areas of Responsibility

  • Overall responsibility for the operation and quality of the finance function, including collaboration with external vendors providing bookkeeping, controlling, payroll, etc.

  • Ensure timely, accurate and detailed reporting to Danish and international owners

  • Preparation and quality assurance of monthly reporting, including commentary and variance explanations

  • Ensure consistency and transparency in financial data and reporting processes

  • Coordination and follow-up on deliverables from external accounting and finance partners

  • Liquidity monitoring and reporting

  • Oversight of cash flow, liquidity and currency exposure

  • Collaboration with procurement and logistics, including management of 1 employee within the function

  • Sparring with management on financial matters and decision-making support

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and owner requirements

Requirements for the Right Profile
  • Solid experience as CFO, Finance Manager or equivalent

  • Experience with reporting to international owners or group structures, and an understanding of how to listen to their needs regarding reporting, data, etc.

  • Very strong in financial reporting and data quality with a hands-on approach

  • Extensive experience with Business Central and familiarity with Power BI

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly

  • Experience working with external vendors / shared service setups

  • Structured, detail-oriented and able to create clarity in complex setups

  • Hands-on and execution-driven
