Our client, a
large consumer-owned utility company based in Eastern Jutland, is seeking an
Interim Finance Manager to lead the finance function through the
year-end closing and financial reporting period.
The current Finance Manager has accepted new opportunities but will be available initially to ensure a smooth handover.
As Interim Finance Manager, you will
report directly to the CEO and lead a
small team of accountants and a controller. The role comes with a clear mandate and a well-defined set of responsibilities, requiring
strong leadership and a
professional, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
• Provide strong and supportive leadership to the finance team during the transition period.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of the
annual financial statements as of June 30.
• Oversee the
budget preparation process for the upcoming fiscal year (autumn).
• Maintain liquidity management and ensure a robust
capital structure.
• Handle various
ad hoc financial and operational tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
• Proven leadership experience in smaller organizations and with specialist teams.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solid financial understanding and relevant experience within accounting and reporting.
• Understanding of project delivery, operations, finance, and legal aspects - preferably with experience in the
utility or energy sector.
• Willingness and ability to take an active role in
daily operational tasks alongside the team.
