Interim Finance Manager
Urgent assignment

- Location Copenhagen
- Period 4-5 months

Our client is a growing Danish digital marketing company with a strong client setup and a project-oriented business model. The company serves a broad portfolio of clients with advisory and digital services and has over recent years built a solid operation supported by a digital and automated working environment.
We are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to take over and ensure continuity in the finance function during a period in which the company is consolidating its internal infrastructure. The role is broad and operationally heavy — the right candidate takes over a well-established function with a wide range of existing workflows, automations and systems, and ensures that all processes are executed accurately and on time.
The position reports to the CEO and involves close collaboration with all departments across the company. The role is independent — there are no direct reports, but in return there is a solid setup of digital tools and automations supporting the work.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Ensure ongoing financial reporting, Actual vs. Budget follow-up, and preparation of monthly management reports and board presentations
Manage liquidity and cash flow
Execute monthly payroll runs
Handle full accounts receivable management
Manage accounts payable and payments
Ensure correct monthly accruals and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting across approximately 30 active projects
Ongoing monitoring of all automated processes and system flows
VAT settlement and reporting to the Danish Tax Authority (Skattestyrelsen), including EU VAT
Ongoing control and maintenance of data quality in the CRM system, as well as weekly follow-up on pipeline health
Profile:
Solid accounting background with experience from an operational finance position — preferably in a project-based or service company
Deep understanding of accruals and work in progress (WIP) in a consultancy environment — both execution and quality control
Strong with digital tools, automations, AI and system integrations — you are comfortable in a tech-heavy working environment
Structured, self-driven and precise — you thrive in a role where many balls are in the air and deadlines are fixed
Experience with Monday and Harvest (or similar project management and time-tracking tools)
