Interim Customer Care Lead for an international manufacturing company
Our client is a small Danish manufacturer of consumer products for the home. Its products are made in Denmark, and most of its sales go abroad. It sells through distributors in more than 20 countries, through major Danish retail customers and through its own online store.
The Customer Care function has recently lost several experienced employees. At the same time, the company is entering its busiest season and is switching to a new ERP system. We are therefore looking for an experienced Interim Lead who can quickly secure stable operations, on-time deliveries and a strong customer experience.
This is a very hands-on role. You will own the order and customer flow for overseas distributors and major Danish customers, from forecast and order through production and freight to delivery and payment. You will work closely with Sales, who own the strategy and business plans for the distributors. Your job is to make sure the agreed targets become concrete forecasts and orders.
You will report to the COO and join a small Customer Care team. As the experienced colleague on the team, you will also bring structure and set direction for younger colleagues. For the right candidate, the assignment may become a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Keep Customer Care running smoothly through peak season, with timely order processing and delivery
Follow up on distributor forecasts against agreed targets, identify deviations and make sure targets match the orders registered
Coordinate orders, inventory and delivery options with production, planning and suppliers, taking long lead times and seasonal patterns into account
Handle container and pallet shipments, freight booking, export documents, B/Ls and Incoterms, including releasing goods in line with payment terms
Maintain and apply price lists and delivery terms for distributors, retailers and key accounts
Be the main point of contact for customers’ buyers on needs, forecasts and deliveries
Create overview, structure and routines in the team, and help train younger colleagues
Contribute actively to the move from Navision to Business Central
Spot clear commercial needs among customers, such as marketing materials or new sales channels, and pass them on to Sales
Profile:
Solid experience in Customer Care, order management or sales coordination, ideally in a smaller manufacturing or trading company where you have worked hands-on with systems and processes
Practical experience with export, sea freight, container shipping, Incoterms and export documentation
Commercial understanding of pricing structures (recommended retail price, retailer and distributor pricing) and the ability to link forecasts, orders and targets
Experienced Navision/Business Central user, strong in Excel, and happy to adopt new tools such as Copilot
Steady, structured and self-driven, with the experience to take the lead and get things moving
Works professionally in Danish and English, both written and spoken
