The company is a well-established French-owned enterprise with 68,000 employees worldwide, of which 1,500 are based in Denmark, generating an annual turnover of more than DKK 1 billion.
The company urgently requires an Interim Chief Legal Counsel to manage all legal aspects of a large insurance case, as well as to provide general legal support. Experience with insurance cases and a strong commercial mindset are mandatory.
There are no other lawyers in the Danish entity, and the role does not include personnel management. This is a hands-on position, and a high workload—especially during the initial phase—should be expected. The position reports to the company’s CFO.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Professional handling of all elements of the insurance case, including calculation and documentation of all claims.
• Serve as the main contact with the insurance company and participate in negotiations with all involved stakeholders.
• Prepare and present status reports to the CFO and executive management, including advice and sparring on legal and strategic matters.
• Act as the liaison with the Group Legal Department in Paris.
• Participate in contract negotiations for new lease agreements and assist with construction management matters.
Key Competencies:
• Strong organizational skills and solid numerical understanding.
• Legal background (preferably Master of Laws or equivalent).
• In-depth knowledge of insurance law and claims handling is essential.
