Interim CFO to International SaaS Company
Our client is a fast-paced, private equity-backed SaaS company operating in the compliance and data privacy technology space, with international entities spanning Denmark, Poland, Germany and the US.
The company is going through a leadership transition and needs an Interim CFO who can quickly stabilise the finance function while keeping a firm hand on strategic growth planning.
The role calls for a leader equally comfortable driving high-level strategy with the Board and getting hands-on with day-to-day team management. Beyond stabilising the function, the Interim CFO will partner closely with the CEO and Board to steer financial performance through the transition and beyond.
The role reports to the CEO, with regular interaction with the Board and the wider C-level team, and holds direct leadership responsibility for the finance teams in Denmark and Poland.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as strategic advisor to the CEO, Board and executive team on growth opportunities, capital allocation and risk management
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning aligned with SaaS growth objectives
Ensure optimised working capital, rigorous cash flow forecasting and strategic runway management
Oversee accounting, tax, legal and compliance structures across multiple jurisdictions
Manage multi-jurisdictional tax strategies, transfer pricing compliance and international reporting standards
Standardise financial processes, controls and systems across international hub locations to improve efficiency
Own and optimise core SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, NRR, gross margins) to guide commercial strategy
Lead, mentor and unite the finance teams in Denmark and Poland, acting as a stabilising force through the transition
Profile:
Proven CFO experience from a SaaS/subscription business, with a strong command of recurring revenue accounting and SaaS metrics
Track record leading finance operations across multiple international entities and EU jurisdictions; US market exposure is an advantage
Equally comfortable pitching strategy to the Board and working through operational detail with local teams
Experience entering transition environments and delivering value quickly, without extensive onboarding
Strong leadership presence, able to stabilise and unite a team through a period of change
