Innovative Danish deep-tech scale-up with proprietary product development is entering a critical transformation phase. The company currently employs approximately 20 people and will over the next 12-18 months undergo a significant transition from a development- and project-oriented organisation to a commercially driven production and operations business.
In parallel, the company will establish and scale its own production facility and build a strong commercial platform through direct sales and a distributor network. Product-market fit and revenue have been documented across multiple global sectors.
We are seeking an operationally and commercially strong Interim CEO who can ensure consistent execution, drive significant growth in sales and top-line revenue, and lay the foundation for break-even and cash flow positive operations within 18 months.
Reporting to: The Board of Directors
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Overall leadership responsibility in a critical scale-up phase with a focus on execution and commercial growth
- Drive the transition from a development-oriented environment to a structured operations and performance organisation
- Develop and scale sales and top-line revenue, requiring clear prioritisation and focus among the many already-documented market opportunities
- Build and implement a clear sales strategy with a primary focus on direct B2B sales supplemented by distributors
- Gather and translate market and customer insights into concrete sales direction
- Prioritise and focus the product portfolio with clear commercial trade-offs
- Establish KPI structures, governance, and monthly performance follow-up
- Lead and grow the organisation from approximately 20 to 40-50 employees
- Oversee a strong technical team establishing and scaling a new production facility in 2026, ensuring stable and efficient operations
- Ensure strong alignment between the commercial function, production, and product development
- Serve as a close sparring partner for the founder/technical leadership, elevate the organisation's overall management capability, and prepare the company for its next growth phase after 18 months
Profile
The right Interim CEO brings documented experience scaling growth in smaller companies on a global level, working with advanced products and production technology solutions. The profile is hands-on, structured, and clear in their leadership style - with strong commercial drive and solid financial acumen.
