Build a scalable operations platform that elevates products, quality and business performance

The company is on an ambitious growth journey and is looking for a Head of Product Operations & Manufacturing who can develop a modern, commercially oriented operations function. You will be responsible for ensuring that products can be delivered, scaled and maintained with high quality, strong capacity and solid financial discipline. The role is being established as part of a generational leadership transition, and you will receive a thorough handover from the outgoing leader.

Why choose us

You get a central leadership role with direct influence on quality, delivery capability, margins and scalability.

Short decision-making paths and a strong mandate to develop sourcing, supply chain and partnerships.

Close collaboration with Product Management, Development, Quality and external partners.

The opportunity to set the direction from day one, with support during an onboarding period.

Your role

You will be responsible for production in North Zealand and for ensuring that the company has the right capabilities and partnerships – both now and in the future. You will drive the transformation from a production-focused setup to a scalable and robust operations platform that supports growth, supply security and efficient NPI.

Production primarily consists of assembly and final assembly, with components supplied by subcontractors. A key task is to ensure stable operations across 2 shifts and close collaboration with suppliers. You will have 8 direct reports and indirect management responsibility for approximately 25 employees via the production manager.

Quality and technical industrialization fall outside the role, but you will ensure a strong operational handover of new products in close collaboration with R&D and Quality. Initially, you will be closely involved in daily operations, but the goal is to build a team that independently runs day-to-day activities, allowing you to focus on strategic sourcing, supply chain and partnerships.

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensure stable and efficient production characterized by high quality.

  • Build a robust and scalable supply chain that supports growth and reduces risk.

  • Drive NPI readiness (NPI = New Product Introduction), ramp-up and a stable transition of new products into operations.

  • Develop strategic supplier and manufacturing partnerships – from classic supplier agreements to more committed collaboration models – and ensure a structured process for supplier selection and evaluation.

  • Optimize budget, costs and inventory balance with a focus on margins and working capital.

  • Provide strong operational input on product changes, lifecycle management and commercial priorities.

  • Create close alignment across the entire value chain – from development to production and suppliers.

  • Ensure the operations perspective is represented early in development projects, so new products are designed with scalable production and operations in mind.

Leadership and collaboration

  • Lead and develop the salaried team with clear goals, clear direction and hands-on coaching.

  • Strengthen role ownership and decision-making power within Supply Chain, Sourcing and Production Management.

  • Coach and develop the production manager so that, over time, they can take full ownership of capacity and resource planning as well as day-to-day execution among operators.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic external partners.

  • Actively contribute to the management team with a commercial, structured and forward-looking approach.

  • Act as the link between development/R&D and operations, ensuring new products and process changes are smoothly handed over to stable operations.

Who are you?

You are an experienced operations leader who thrives in an environment characterized by dynamism, responsibility and direct influence. You have:

  • Solid experience in production, sourcing, supply chain and product delivery.

  • A background in assembly, production or manufacturing environments – ideally with electromechanical products, electronics, IoT or hardware.

  • The ability to balance stable operations with long-term capacity building and scalability.

  • Strong commercial understanding: costs, supplier performance, inventory balance and working capital.

  • Experience with ERP, production data and structured operational follow-up – ideally including experience from an ERP implementation or upgrade.

  • Experience with supplier development, contract manufacturing or ODM collaborations – or the drive to build it.

  • A structured, pragmatic and improvement-oriented approach that creates momentum and ownership.

  • Experience from a similar role, where that experience matters more than your specific education.

  • Experience leading through a transition period – including being hands-on where necessary while systematically working to delegate responsibility to the team.

  • A good level of Danish, which is important for dialogue with employees in production.

  • Fluency in English at a negotiation level.

  • A willingness to travel, which is expected to increase gradually as collaboration with international suppliers and partners develops.

What will you be measured on?

  • Stable and strong production performance.

  • Improved supply chain and sourcing performance across quality, delivery, cost and capacity.

  • Effective NPI readiness and successful product launches.

  • Established partnerships that strengthen scalability and robustness.

  • Effective budget management and balanced inventory levels.

  • Clear and value-creating input on lifecycle management and product changes.

  • Successful continuation of production and team leadership after the transition period, including visible progress in delegating responsibility.

  • Stronger integration between development and operations, so new products and process changes are integrated smoothly into day-to-day operations.
