Demand Planning Manager

This is a Fast Executive Search assignment where the selected candidate will be offered permanent employment with the client from the start.

Our client is one of the largest food producers in the Nordics, with an annual turnover of DKK 35 billion and sales in more than 100 countries.

As Demand Planning Manager, you will become part of a team of five dedicated professionals responsible for various food product categories.

While the position does not include direct leadership, it offers broad organizational exposure and a central, business-critical role.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensure accurate forecasting in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing, including identification of potential risks related to customer agreements.

• Challenge forecasts based on historical data, current market insights, and future trends.

• Take ownership of the operation and development of the S&OP process.

• Ensure accurate deliveries of finished goods, both from internal group companies and external suppliers.

• Use existing KPI reports to identify and implement improvements across the value chain - e.g., monitoring slow-moving products and coordinating actions with Logistics and other stakeholders.

• Optimize collaboration and processes across departments to ensure smooth coordination between functions.

Qualifications

• Experience working in large, complex organizations with cross-functional processes.

• Solid understanding of demand planning and forecasting in a production or FMCG environment.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Proficiency in SAP (R/3 and APO) is a significant advantage.

• Structured, communicative, and able to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
