Our client is an ambitious contractor working on various infrastructure projects, supported by solid ownership and a clear growth agenda. With a turnover of 100+ million DKK and a strong foundation in both Denmark and Germany, we are now seeking a COO to take responsibility for Danish operations - while also being a driving force in continued growth, especially within district heating and electricity supply projects.

We are looking for a COO who not only manages daily operations but also dares to challenge the status quo and identify new business opportunities. You will become a key player in an agile organization where decisions are made quickly, technology is developed in-house and continuously optimized - and where there is no fear of competing with the industry giants.
Working closely with the CEO, the COO will ensure that the company’s ambitious goals are achieved. For the right candidate, an attractive ownership opportunity is offered.
The Role - Commercial Acumen Meets Operational Strength
The position combines overall responsibility for daily operations with a clear commercial focus.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and strategic direction, with the mandate to make it happen. The expectation is that you can ensure strong execution across projects, while also spotting opportunities and driving new business.
You will have significant freedom to act and are expected to operate proactively - both in the field and at the table.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead middle managers and operational teams - with both heart and direction
• Ensure progress and quality across Danish projects - especially within district heating and electrical infrastructure
• Drive commercial development and participate in networking and sales activities
• Oversee tender calculations, project finances, and resource management
• Maintain close dialogue with clients and authorities, from approvals to project completion
• Collaborate closely with production, finance, and executive management
Your Profile
• Solid professional background in district heating or similar utility infrastructure, with end-to-end project execution experience
• Strong in both operations and financial management - always asking: “How can we do this better?”
• Independent, persistent, and motivated by being close to decision-making
• Experienced in managing projects hands-on, from site level to boardroom
• Confident, communicative, and able to inspire and lead both on-site and in meetings
