The company is a well-reputed and agile construction business based in the Vejle area, specializing in main and trade contracts.
The company has an annual turnover of around DKK 250 million and employs approximately 80 skilled masons and carpenters.
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the company’s financial and administrative operations, including the management of two skilled finance employees and overall responsibility for IT, which is currently largely outsourced.
You will work closely with the CEO and owner, and over time, the role may develop into a broader strategic position with increasing influence on the company’s direction and growth.
Responsibilities and Tasks
• Management responsibility for 2 employees handling bookkeeping, payroll administration, guarantees, invoicing/progress billing, and debtor/creditor management.
• Responsibility for budgeting, forecasts, monthly reporting, annual accounts, and dialogue with auditors, ensuring compliance and documentation for audit deadlines.
• Proactive cash flow budgeting, liquidity management, and dialogue with banking partners.
• Participate in monthly project review meetings with project managers to ensure accurate project reporting and financial control.
• Drive development and efficiency in the finance function, including optimization and maintenance of reporting tools.
• Responsibility for insurance matters in close cooperation with the company owner.
• Ongoing optimization of business processes and workflows across the company.
• Oversee the development and improvement of IT systems and ensure focus on key business metrics through relevant KPIs.
Requirements
• Strong Excel skills and experience as a superuser in Navision (MS Dynamics NAV Classic).
• Experience from the construction industry or another project-based organization is highly prioritized.
• A proactive, business-minded, and communicative leader who thrives in a hands-on and dynamic environment and enjoys being close to both operations and strategy.
