A long-established family-owned company, founded over 50 years ago and employing around 200 people, is a world-leading producer of advanced technical equipment, with its headquarters and production facility located in southern Sweden.

The Challenge

The company was facing serious problems with delivery times and product quality, largely caused by an outdated machinery fleet and traditional manufacturing methods. These issues led to costly errors, delayed deliveries, and declining profitability.

To understand the full scope of the problem, the management team initially engaged external engineering consultants to analyze the production process — resulting in a detailed report, an expensive invoice, but few practical solutions.

At the same time, the company’s CEO planned a year of parental leave, and the board decided to appoint an Interim CEO who could take over operational responsibility and drive necessary improvements during this critical period.
